North Carolina Tar Heels guard Joel Berry II said he received an apology from official Ted Valentine prior to UNC's 80-66 win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday, according to ESPN.com.
Valentine apologized for theatrically turning his back on Berry during a game between North Carolina and Florida State on Jan. 3. At the time, Berry had been trying to engage Valentine in a discussion on a non-call.
SportsCenter tweeted video of the incident, which came after Berry had his arm held while trying to receive a pass:
Before Saturday's contest, Berry made mention of the talk he had with Valentine, whose antics resulted in his removal from officiating two Big Ten games.
