South Florida might be the Group of 5 representative in the New Year’s Six bowls, and Florida State beat them by 20 points. At one point the Seminoles held a 31-point lead.
And yet Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher could not have been more annoyed with the performance when answering questions at halftime and after the game. He couldn’t even muster more than a few words -- none even all that complimentary -- for Dalvin Cook’s 267 rushing yards, which ranks as the second most in school history.
“He had a nice day,” Fisher tersely told reporters afterward.
