Florida State’s 2016 season-opening, come-from-behind win had a 2014 feel to it.
The higher-ranked Seminoles started slow, fell behind by double digits, and then in a matter of moments flipped momentum to erase the deficit and win comfortably. The No. 3 Seminoles beat Ole Miss 45-34 on Monday.
It turns out that not only was the face of that 2014 season and the spark for a number of that Florida State team’s wins on the sideline Monday, but he gave familiar a halftime speech to some new faces.
In a preview for Showtime’s "A Season With Florida State Football," which premieres tonight, current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston is shown giving a halftime speech to the Seminoles, who were trailing 28-13 at the break.
