Florida State confirmed it has ruled redshirt sophomore outside linebacker Matthew Thomas ineligible for the 2015 season.
Thomas, a former five-star recruit, has not practiced since injuring his shoulder in the early part of spring practice. He was expected to miss the first half of the season rehabbing his injury, but the Seminoles ruled Thomas ineligible per FSU policy for all of the upcoming season.
