NC State and Boston College announced injury updates Monday, and one is much better than the other.
First, the good news: All tests on Wolfpack linebacker Jerod Fernandez's right leg returned negative, coach Dave Doeren said, according to Rivals.com. Fernandez simply suffered a sprained ankle, which, while painful, has to be considered a relief given the apparent severity of the injury when the redshirt sophomore was carted off in the third quarter of NC State’s win Saturday at Wake Forest. His status for Saturday's game against Clemson should be determined Tuesday.
For Boston College, meanwhile, an injury-filled season just continued to get worse.
