Gbinije to start at point guard

Senior Michael Gbinije has been named the starting point guard for the 2015-16 season.

Earlier today, Jim Boeheim told CBSSports.com that redshirt senior Michael Gbinije will start at point guard this season. Sophomore Kaleb Joseph will likely come off the bench.

Joseph played all 31 games last season, and started all but one of those. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 5.9 points per game last season. He led the Orange with 3.8 assists per game, while also committing 2.3 turnovers per game. According to the average Syracuse fan, Joseph struggled most of the year - which he did.
