Linebacker Reggie Herring comes in at No. 24 as we continue our countdown of the Top-75 players in Florida State history. Herring was a tackling machine that finished with more than 135 tackles in each of his final three seasons. His senior year in 1980 Herring recorded an incredible 170 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and six sacks. He was named a second team All-American by the Associated Press. Herring had a team high 14 tackles in the upset of Nebraska in Lincoln that alerted the nation to Florida State’s presence.
