ORLANDO, Fla. -- The play call was fairly straight forward. a href="http://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/3122935/travis-rudolph" target="_new">Travis Rudolph went in motion and read the defense. He saw man-to-man coverage.
So he went inside, gave the defender a little move and found himself wide open. Quarterback Deondre Francois saw it immediately and delivered the ball, then got absolutely crushed. Rudolph caught it for a touchdown, and Francois stayed down for an extra minute -- then wobbled off the field.
That score just before the half turned out to be the play of the night and a defining moment for the young quarterback and his teammates.
