Florida State fans have taken to calling it The Lawing Effect (though we’ve always thought The Lawing Law had a better ring to it), which essentially assigns responsibility for the Seminoles’ improved pass rush to line coach Brad Lawing.
It’s tough to argue, given Lawing’s long history of success and the obvious improvement in FSU’s pass rush since he arrived in 2015.
Of course, it could be that FSU is simply playing with better talent, particularly DeMarcus Walker, who could go down as one of the top defensive ends in Florida State history.
