Tenth-ranked Miami enters its game with No. 23 Florida State on Saturday as the higher-ranked team for the first time in six years. The Hurricanes lost that matchup at home in 2010, their first defeat in what now is a six-game losing streak to the Seminoles.
But this game marks the return of Mark Richt to the series, and the current Canes coach is no stranger to either side. Richt played at Miami for five years, served as a graduate assistant at Florida State for four and then was a full-time assistant with the Seminoles for 11 seasons.
