TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- On Saturday, similar to Florida State’s early spring camp practices, Jimbo Fisher asserted that his comments were not coachspeak.
“Guys made some plays, but again not enough consistency. Not enough toughness on both sides of the ball. Both sides made plays, but not enough. We’re not mentally and physically tough,” Fisher said. “That’s not coach talk, that’s just the place where we’re at right now and we’ve got to grind through it. We’ve got to be held accountable for our mistakes and get better.”
In a handful of post-practice media sessions since spring practice opened March 16, Fisher’s tone has ranged from irked to indignant.
