Duke safety Jeremy Cash and Miami offensive lineman Hunter Knighton were honored by the ACC on Thursday, with Cash winning the Jim Tatum Award and Knighton winning the Brian Piccolo Award.
Cash became the fourth straight Duke player to win the Tatum Award, given to the top senior student-athlete, joining David Helton (2014), Perry Simmons (2013) and Sean Renfree (2012).
“Jeremy Cash is more than a great football player,” Duke coach David Cutcliffe said in a press release. “Obviously, he has his priorities in order in regards to all of the different elements of being a successful student-athlete.
