Duke's David Cutcliffe names practice drill after Peyton Manning

Duke coach David Cutcliffe began his day by texting a photo of Wednesday's practice schedule to his most famous student.

Amid the stretching and goal-line battles was a new drill: the Peyton Manning Drill.

Cutcliffe, who was Manning's position coach at Tennessee, came up with the idea as both a tribute to his protégé and a reminder to his team of its significance.

The basics of the drill involve splitting the team up on both sides of the ball, lining up for a play and forcing the players to diagnose what's coming next.
