So what impact did the college football chaos have on the ACC?
Not much, as expected.
Despite losing at home to Pitt, Clemson dropped two spots to No. 4 and still controls its playoff destiny. And Louisville remains on the outside looking in, moving up one spot to No. 5.
The biggest question leading into the ranking surrounded Louisville, and where the Cards would end up after Clemson, Washington and Michigan lost.
Though some made the argument that Louisville should be ranked higher than Clemson because it had a better loss, the committee clearly used the Tigers’ head-to-head victory as a deciding factor between the two teams.
