CLEMSON, S.C. -- Don't expect Deshaun Watson to campaign for the Heisman. It's just not in him. This whole season, he's shrugged off criticism for an uptick in turnovers and a failure to dominate every opponent. Now that the pendulum of public opinion is swinging back in his direction, he's still not buying in. He wants to go play, and what happens from there is out of his hands.
Except, boy would it be a fitting conclusion to a year in which Watson has been picked apart at every turn if he ended up hoisting the Heisman anyway.
