Dabo after BC blowout: Clemson's better now than a year ago

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Third-ranked Clemson cranked out 499 yards in big chunks of offense during its most explosive performance to date on Friday night. The most feverish, frantic, 30-yard run of the game, though, belonged to coach Dabo Swinney.

With the third-ranked Tigers (6-0) in field goal range and the final seconds of the first half ticking away, Swinney sprinted the length of the team’s bench and nearly barreled right through a side judge to try to get his attention for a timeout. He didn’t make in time, but his hustle spoke to the attitude of a team that never tapped the brakes during a 56-10 blowout against Boston College.
