It’s probably no surprise that Dave Doeren has been forced to answer plenty of questions this week about his team’s mentality following what was perhaps the most gut-wrenching loss in NC State’s recent history against Clemson.
“There’s just anger and disappointment,” Doeren said, “but we’re ready to play. If we could’ve played [the next day], they would have played. They weren’t happy at all, not taking a moral victory out of it.”
It’s Year 4 under Doeren, and NC State is done with moral victories. The search for the real ones -- particularly victories of the signature variety -- has been the No.
