Clemson's offensive line peaking at the right time

CLEMSON, S.C. -- Tony Elliott called it bulletin-board material, but there was something more to it than that. Something personal.

South Carolina defensive lineman Marquavius Lewis had ruffled feathers in the Clemson locker room, calling the Tigers' offensive line a "finesse" unit, and Elliott, Clemson’s co-offensive coordinator, said the label got his guys angry. For the big boys in the trenches, that’s essentially the same as calling them soft. It’s an epithet of the worst kind.

"There were words exchanged about how we play up front, and everyone took this one personally," Elliott said.
