CLEMSON, S.C. -- During a recent workout in Clemson's weight room, Christian Wilkins settled a debate with a teammate. The subject: the location of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
"He said Indiana," Wilkins recounted, smiling. "I had to prove him wrong."
Wilkins had better. He's from Springfield, Massachusetts, home to the Hall. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound sophomore defensive lineman is the only New England native on Clemson's roster, filled mostly with Carolinians and Georgians. Wilkins attended Suffield Academy, a boarding school across the state line from Springfield, and was the No. 1 recruit in Connecticut and the No.
