RALEIGH, N.C. — Dabo Swinney stepped in front of a horde of cameras after his Clemson Tigers wrapped a raucous 56-41 win over NC State — a game that, had it happened in the Iron Bowl or the defenseless Big 12, might have been lauded as high entertainment, but instead looked more like a chink in Clemson’s armor — and said he didn’t care how the College Football Playoff selection committee passed judgement on his team.
That verdict will be handed down on Tuesday, the first set of rankings the committee will release this season.
