Clemson junior running back Wayne Gallman is forgoing an opportunity to leave early for the NFL draft, opting to return to school.
He might be the only Tiger to do so. On Wednesday, a handful of Clemson players announced their intention to skip any remaining seasons of eligibility to enter the NFL draft, and the issue for defensive coordinator Brent Venables is the departures are coming on his side of the ball.
This isn’t quite déjà vu for Venables as he experienced mass departures following the 2014 season. A year ago, however, he was tasked with just rebuilding a front seven.
