The Cavaliers traded guard Joe Harris to the Orlando Magic, apparently to free cap space and a spot on the roster.
It was a busy Tuesday for Joe Harris.
First, he underwent successful, season-ending surgery on his right foot for excision of the fith metatarsal apophysis.
Then, he was traded to the Orlando Magic.
The Cavaliers confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that the team had traded Harris, a protected 2017 second-round selection and cash to Orlando in exchange for a protected 2020 second-round pick.
While the move may seem rather inconsequential, as Harris is out for the rest of the season with his foot injury, it may have implications on the Cavs current roster.
