MANATI, Puerto Rico - The University of Louisville finally got a victory on its trip to Puerto Rico and it took a 13-point comeback for the Cardinals to pull it off. Trey Lewis scored 21 points as U of L downed the Puerto Rican National Team 84-81.
Finally, a win.
University of Louisville coach Rick Pitino wasn't happy with the performance of his Cardinals' but they did score the team's first win on its trip to Puerto Rico on Friday night, beating the Pitino-coached Puerto Rican National Team 84-81.
Fifth-year senior transfers Trey Lewis and Damion Lee came up huge in the final few minutes as the Cardinals grabbed the lead at 79-77 and led the rest of the game with Lee getting a steal and layin in the final seconds to seal it.
