The ACC is set to debut collaborative replay Thursday when three conference teams open the season. But the biggest challenge might be arranging everything for the year’s first conference game, between Boston College and Georgia Tech on Saturday in Ireland.
As a quick refresher, collaborative replay involves replay officials at a game talking to replay officials stationed at the ACC command center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
So how, exactly, is collaborative replay going to work from a press box in Dublin, Ireland, across the Atlantic Ocean, to a command center some 3,600 miles away?
