Clemson coach Dabo Swinney wasn’t happy to be asked about the production of junior receiver Artavis Scott this week, suggesting that talk of Scott’s numbers was simply stirring up drama.
The question was actually asked as a means of talking up Scott’s team-first approach, and when the player himself was asked, he offered a reasoned response.
“Definitely it’s frustrating,” Scott told the Spartanburg Home Journal. “I like to make plays. Obviously it’s cut down, but I’m a team player and do what I’ve got to do for the team and just make the most of my opportunities when it comes.
