CLEMSON, S.C. -- The game was already out of hand by the time Tanner Muse stepped in front of an Austin Wilson pass, picking it off and returning it 64 yards for a touchdown. But if the interception had little impact on the game’s result, it was a fitting conclusion to a 54-0 shellacking of Syracuse that, after a season of too-close-for-comfort victories, finally seemed to signal a turning point for Clemson.
