@DavidHaleESPN Who has had the most most surprising seasons thus far? I want a good surprise and a bad surprise.
“Surprise” can be a little tough to define. I expected Wake Forest to make a bowl game this year, and so while the Demon Deacons’ record is a surprise to a lot of folks, it’s not entirely unexpected for those following them closely. If we’re limiting this discussion to the ACC, I’d say the bad surprise has been Florida State’s defense, which was expected to be exceptional and has instead varied between average and terrible.
