ACC Fines Louisville, Virginia Tech for Taking Leaked Info from Tommy Elrod

The ACC's internal investigation into the scandal involving Wake Forest's proprietary game information has led to Virginia Tech and Louisville being issued separate $25,000 fines.

Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman reported the fines levied against the two schools by the ACC. Feldman also noted the dollar amount in the fines is the largest allowed as defined by ACC bylaws and the money will go into a scholarship account.

ACC commissioner John Swofford issued a statement about the fines and this whole situation on the conference's official website:

I am deeply disturbed something like this would occur, and regardless of the degree of involvement, the protection of the competitive integrity of our games is fundamental to any athletic contest.
