A bad weekend for Clemson and the ACC might not be so bad after all

The ACC went totally retro this past weekend and partied like it was 2007. Or 2008 or 2009, for that matter.

Ranked teams losing as double-digit favorites? Yes.

Clemson losing (again) to an unranked team? Yes.

National championship hopes nearly destroyed? That, too.

The old-school #goacc definition came back in full force, defining a Week 11 that resembled all those lost seasons when the ACC had lost all say in the national championship discussion by November. When the month began, November came across as one giant snooze fest.

The schedule didn't feature any matchups between two Top 25 ACC teams; all of those were played in September and October.
