Duke landed a commitment Friday from Matthew Hurt, one of the top players in the 2019 recruiting class.
The power forward announced his decision at John Marshall Auditorium, via ESPN's Jeff Borzello. He was also considering Kansas and Kentucky before picking the Blue Devils.
Hurt is considered a 5-star recruit and the No. 8 overall player in the country, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
The Minnesota native has dominated at the high school level in his career, averaging 34 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks per game during his junior season, per USA Today.
