Lindquist Podiums at Pac-12 Championships Opening Day

BOULDER, Colo. – The Washington State track and field team competed in the opening day of the 2024 Pac-12 Track and Field Championships, Friday, May 10, at Potts Field in Boulder, Colorado. Four Cougar student-athletes advanced to event finals, headlined by sophomore Laura Lindquist taking third place in women's javelin with a personal-best 50.45 meters, the sixth-longest throw in WSU women's history.

In the men's decathlon, graduate student Mason Mahacek grabbed two 1st-place finishes, including a high jump of 2.03m for 831 points and the top time of 48.66 seconds in the 400m race.
