Just a few plays after a helmet-first hit on Packers RB Eddie Lacy that concussed Lacy and forced him out of the game, Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather once again led with his helmet on a Packers RB as he launched himself at James Starks.
This time, it was Meriweather, not his target, that stayed down. Meriweather stayed prone on the ground for several minutes, but eventually got up and walked off the field under his own power. It looked very much like Meriweather had suffered a concussion of his own, and it's highly unlikely that Meriweather will return.
Meriweather missed all but one game last season due to an ACL injury, and was also out in last week's opener because of an unrelated injury suffered in training camp.
UPDATE 2:30 ET: Meriweather has a concussion, and will not return.
