We have come to the end of the Michael Penix Jr. era at Washington, and what an era it has been. For a variety of reasons, Michael Penix will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks in program history, and no doubt my favorite. Whether it be the gaudy numbers he put up, the relentlessly electric highlights he produced every Saturday, or the hope he inspired in the hearts of Dawg fans everywhere, he is sure to be remembered long after he is out of eligibility.
It also happens to be Michael Penix Jr.’s 24th birthday. Happy birthday, Mike!
