I was side-tracked when researching this article to pump out the list of best ever Utah Jazz Second option scorers (link here), only because this problem is so much bigger it needed more background information. So what's the question? Is Gordon Hayward, when compared to the entire history of Jazz first options, good or bad at his job? To figure this out we needed to construct a frame of reference that's simply the offensive performances of each first option for each season in New Orleans / Utah Jazz history.
