The MLB trade deadline on July 31st is rapidly approaching, and the trade rumors are starting to heat up. One team that has been the subject of several rumors is the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays are 46-39, but also 2.5 games back of the AL East lead. That would put the Blue Jays in the buyers column, unless something drastic happens. With that in mind, here all the latest Blue Jays trade rumors below.
Blue Jays Want Francis Martes?
The Blue Jays have been looking at the Houston Astros' farm system recently, and we now know who they are targeting.
Blue Jays have been scouting Astros' system, per @nickcafardo. One prospect they've looked at, per source: Francis Martes.

The Blue Jays will be hard-pressed to land Martes. The 20-year-old righty was the No. 20 prospect according to Baseball America at the start of the season. Any trade involving Martes would have to be of the blockbuster variety.
Blue Jays Looking At Twins?
The Astros aren't the only team the Blue Jays have been scouting. They've also spent some time looking at the Minnesota Twins.
Former #MNTwins special assistant Joe McIlvaine, now #Orioles sr adviser, has been at Target Field in recent days. Same for Ed Lynch (TOR).

It's unclear if there's a particular target the Blue Jays have in mind, although they've been linked to pitching help. Or perhaps the Blue Jays are just doing their due diligence.
