WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Toledo senior Barend Botha slid down three more spots, falling into a tie for 60th place after shooting a six-over par 78 during the third and final round of the NCAA men’s golf regional at Purdue’s Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex Kampen Course on Wednesday.
Botha finished 13-over 229 for the tournament, putting himself in a three-way tie for 60th with San Diego State’s Jackson Moss and Tennessee Tech’s Sean Anderson.
"Barend had a tough start but kept fighting throughout his entire round," Toledo coach Jeff Roope said. "He had a few birdie opportunities where his putts just missed.
