TORONTO -- Josh Hamilton will not restart his rehab assignment on Friday, the first day he would be eligible.
Since feeling renewed discomfort in his left knee Hamilton during the first game of a rehab assignment last Saturday, Hamilton was taken off the rehab. He is working out at Texas Metroplex Institute (TMI) for Sports Medicine in Arlington under the supervision of the staff of Dr. Keith Meister, Rangers officials said. He is not doing "baseball activities" and no timetable has been set for his return to them or to the field.
Hamilton has had two surgeries on the knee since Sept.
