The hours are ticking down in advance of Friday's 2015 MLB Trade Deadline, and there's plenty of intrigue to go around surrounding all 30 MLB teams -- ESPECIALLY the Texas Rangers. With that in mind, here's our Rangers Trade Rumors: 3 Things To Know At The Trade Deadline.
Rangers Pull Ahead In Cole Hamels Sweepstakes
The Philadelphia Phillies are asking interested teams to get their bids in on ace lefty Cole Hamels by this afternoon, and CSN Philly's Jim Salisbury lists the Rangers as one of three teams with a legitimate shot at landing Hamels before Friday's cutoff.
Today is July 29, Amaro's favorite day to deal. Added Lee, Oswalt, Pence on this day. Could subtract Hamels today. Rangers, LAD, Hou in play

Choosing between the three, Salisbury has a sneaking suspicion that Hamels will be in a Rangers uniform by his next start:
Someone just asked me where Hamels is going. I believe his next start will be for Texas Rangers. Strongly believe that.

The Rangers are one of just two AL teams who Hamels doesn't have veto power over in a potential trade. Said veto power has reportedly knocked the Boston Red Sox and SF Giants down a peg or two and off of the list of likely landing spots, [per multiple media reports.
Yovani Gallardo To Houston If Rangers Land Hamels Or Price?
Per Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, Texas Rangers righty Yovani Gallardo could be on the Astros' radar if the Rangers carry through with a blockbuster swap for Hamels, or in perhaps a much more unlikely scenario, Detroit Tigers start David Price.
"The Rangers could deal Gallardo and upgrade to Price or Hamels," Cafardo wrote in an article posted on Sunday. "Gallardo has had no trouble transitioning to the American League. You could see the Astros, Tigers, Dodgers, Orioles, or Blue Jays being suitors."
Hamels has three years of team control left and an option year for 2019 -- a contract which falls in line with the Rangers' long-term vision. Price, on the other hand, could very well be just a rental player with unrestricted free agency looming this winter.
Texas Remaining Aggressive Before Deadline
Texas is currently “acting aggressively as both buyers and sellers,” according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
In addition to Hamels and Price, Texas has been linked to a litany of other available players including Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez. On the flip side, the Rangers have been fielding offers for the aforementioned Gallardo and lefty Wandy Rodriguez.
