AUSTIN, Texas – Kickoff time for Texas Football's August 31 season and home opener against Colorado State has been set for 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on ESPN from inside Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Texas has faced CSU just once, hosting the Rams in 1975 and winning, 46-0. In that game, the Longhorns rushed 320 yards and seven touchdowns with Texas legend Earl Campbell carrying the ball 13 times for 103 yards and one score. The Texas defense intercepted four passes, had three sacks and five tackles for loss in the victory.
