Texas A&M's 3 Most Likely Bowl Destinations

Texas A&M limped to a 7-5 record this season, ending the year with disappointing losses to Missouri and LSU. The Aggies should still be going to a good bowl game, so where are they most likely to end up?

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl (SEC vs. ACC/Big Ten)

Tues., Dec. 30, 2:00 p.m. ET

The Music City Bowl would like to see the SEC send Tennessee to their game, but the conference might want to send a team with a better record to the bowl. Texas A&M has a large following that travels extremely well, making this a viable option for them if the Vols aren't sent to Nashville.

Birmingham Bowl (AAC vs. SEC)

Sat., Jan. 3, 1:00 p.m. ET

Legion Field, Birmingham, AL

There's a number of 6-6 and 7-5 teams in the SEC that are possibilities for this bowl, and the Aggies would certainly be a contender. Because of their rapid fan base, A&M might find themselves in Birmingham since they'll draw more people to this game than other school in the conference.

Mon., Dec. 29, 9:00 p.m. ET

NRG Stadium, Houston, TX

Here’s where it gets really interesting. The internet has been buzzing for weeks about the possibility of a Texas-Texas A&M matchup in the Texas Bowl, and the Longhorns have reportedly accepted an offer to play in the game. The SEC has said they don't want to send the Aggies to play Texas because of A&M's supposed recruiting advantage in the state, but there might be too much pressure on them to create the matchup everyone else wants.
