Five-star Concord (CA) Clayton Valley defensive tackle and Tennessee Volunteers 2015 signee Kahlil McKenzie woke up on Monday to a great bit of news for both himself and the entire Vols fan base.
McKenzie received his official letter of acceptance from the University of Tennessee on Monday morning, posting a picture of it on his personal Instagram account with the following message:
Monday's usually suck but this was a nice way to start my week off officially a Vol #blessed #utk19
Now that the 6-foot-3, 345-pound Vols legacy is ready to roll from an academic perspective, expect him to find a place in Tennessee's defensive line rotation in 2015. He's got the size, strength, and deceptive maneuverability that a top-tier defensive lineman needs at the collegiate level, along with the natural football instincts to pick up defensive schemes and nuances in a flash.
