BREAKING NEWS: Butch Jones, head coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats, has been named the new head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers. Butch was linked to the coaching position throughout the entirety of the Vols coaching search, so this is not much of a surprise.
"It is truly an honor and a privilege to be a part of the Vol Nation!" Jones, 44, tweeted Friday morning.

Jones has a 50-27 record in six seasons as a head coach. He went 27-13 in three seasons at Central Michigan and was 23-14 at Cincinnati the last three years. He now faces the task of rebuilding a former Southeastern Conference power.
This is a great coaching upgrade for Jones, taking his talents to the most prestigious conference in all of college football.
The Vols should be excited about Butch Jones, he is a skilled coach who will bring some life and rejuvenation into the Volunteer program.
