Sunderland launch new 2017-18 kit ahead of the upcoming Championship season by allowing local side to don the strip and broadcasting the game

Sunderland have unveiled their new kit design for the 2017-18 as they prepare for a season in the Championship.

The Black Cats released their kit design by allowing a local team from the north-east to wear it during a game on Sunday.

The match, which was broadcast live on the club's Facebook page to 350,000 fans, took place between Dawdon Welfare Park and Hall Farm Glasshus.
