The SEC has been the premier conference on the recruiting trail for the past decade, and that hasn't been any different this year as six of the top 11 recruiting classes in the country belong to SEC teams. As all 14 schools try to put the finishing touches on their classes, here's the latest news and rumors with two months until National Signing Day:
Alabama to lose nation's top prospect?
Running back Najee Harris (Antioch, CA), the top recruit in the country, committed to Alabama in April 2015, but there is momentum towards him flipping that commitment to Michigan. The Wolverines have ramped up their pursuit of Harris over the past several months, and he is visiting Ann Arbor this weekend for an official visit. Some are thinking that he will flip his commitment this weekend.
Tide flip FSU commit
Alabama did get some good news, however, as four-star safety Daniel Wright (Fort Lauderdale, FL) announced on Twitter that he has flipped his commitment from Florida State to the Tide:

Wright is ranked as the No. 15 safety and No. 121 overall prospect in the country.
Ole Miss, Georgia, LSU vying for nation's No. 2 RB
While there is uncertainly about the top running back in the country, we're getting close to decision time for the nation's No. 2 running back in Cam Akers (Clinton, MS). He is expected to announce his decision on Jan. 7 at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, and it will affect several SEC teams. Ole Miss, Georgia and LSU are all vying for his services, but Florida State and Ohio State are also in the mix.
No. 18 recruit to commit on Dec. 16
The No. 18 recruit in the country, offensive tackle Walker Little (Bellaire, TX) announced that he will announce his commitment on Friday, Dec. 16 at 12:30 pm ET. Little is considering Georgia and Ole Miss, along with Florida State, Stanford and Texas.
Cronkrite transferring from Florida
Florida Gators running back Jordan Cronkrite will transfer, the school announced.
"We wish Jordan nothing but the best and will do everything we can to support and assist him and help him get what he wants," head coach Jim McElwain said in a statement.
Cronkrite ran just 31 times for 145 yards with a touchdown this past season. The former four-star recruit ranked as the No. 16 athlete and No. 34 overall prospect in the 2015 class.
