Given that the World Series is the pinnacle of baseball, fans take it very seriously. How seriously?
Well, two San Francisco radio stations have banned Lorde's popular song "Royals" ahead of the Giants matchup with the Kansas City Royals in the Fall Classic.
Thanks 4 your comments! #Lorde #Royals will be removed from the @965KOIT playlist until the end of the World Series #GoGiants...

No offense, Lorde, but for the duration of the World Series, KFOG Radio will be a "Royals"-free zone. We're sure... http://t.co/7uvseCjb03

The Kansas City radio station 99.7 The Point responded by saying they will play the song "on the hour, every hour, from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday."
Lorde, a 17-year-old New Zealand pop star, was inspired to write "Royals" after seeing a picture of Kansas City great George Brett in the July 1976 issue of National Geographic. After hearing the story, Brett sent Lorde his signed No. 5 jersey, so you can understand why the song might not go over too well in San Francisco right now.
Game 1 of the World Series between the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals starts Tuesday at 8:07 p.m. on FOX.
