The San Francisco Giants remain a reported favorite for the services of free-agent ace Jon Lester, with general manager Brian Sabean indicating that he expects Lester to make his final decision very soon.
Here's Alex Pavlovic of the Mercury News with the Giants' current thoughts on Lester's decision-making process:
Giants haven't been told when Lester decision is coming, but believe it's soon.

According to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle, Sabean and the Giants front office are currently engaged with Lester and Lester alone:
Lester only player #sfgiants engaged in for now. No Headley, no Melky. All focus on Lester, according to Sabean.

In addition, Sabean says that there is a fifth team other than the Red Sox, Cubs, Dodgers, and Giants looming as a potential contender for the dynamic lefty:
Sabean counts five teams for Lester, not four.
