The San Francisco 49ers re-signed C Daniel Kilgore earlier this offseason, but he's already on the move. The 49ers are trading Kilgore to the Miami Dolphins, reports Adam Schefter.
The two teams are swapping 7th round picks in the move. The Dolphins have two 7th round picks, at #223 and #229. The 49ers also have two second rounders, at #228 and #240.
The move comes after the 49ers signed C Weston Richburg to a large contract. The Dolphins are also releasing C Maurice Pouncey.
Based on the numbers on Spotrac, the 49ers don't have any money due to Kilgore. There was no signing bonus, just a roster bonus and a guaranteed first year salary. His $2.8 million roster bonus is due tomorrow.
So, the Dolphins will pay Kilgore that roster bonus and the rest of his contract. He carries a $5.375 million cap hit.
