In today's edition of 49ers rumors, the San Francisco 49ers may be considering trading up in the 2014 NFL Draft in order to draft former Texas A&M wide receiver Mike Evans.
According to Evan Silva of Rotoworld, ESPN's Chris Mortensen has been hearing whisperings of the 49ers' intentions to put together a draft pick package in exchange for a chance to draft Johnny Manziel's former favorite target --
ESPN's Chris Mortensen suggested Mike Evans as a trade-up target for #49ers. Mort hearing Niners "could be very aggressive in this draft."

Silva reiterated this in a later tweet, prompting rampant speculation that the San Francisco 49ers could make a move sooner rather than later:
On NFL Insiders, Mort again talked about possibility of #49ers trade up for Mike Evans. "Buzz inside league circles that you keep hearing."

Mike Evans has emerged as one of the consensus top-three draft prospects at wide receiver in May's NFL Draft, along with USC's Marqise Lee and Clemson's Sammy Watkins. There is no word yet on what the 49ers would be willing to give up to have a crack at Evans, nor if they are looking at just a draft-and-trade option or too make a move pre-draft.
