The San Francisco 49ers got quite the scare on Wednesday when linebacker Patrick Willis sat out practice with an apparent wrist injury.
However, per Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, he likely sat out of Wednesday's precedings with a wrist brace on for precautionary reasons:
Vic Fangio said Patrick Willis' wrist injury does not appear serious. Willis, Wilhoite will be tested by Eagles' McCoy and Sproles.

The 49ers' front seven is already spread thin as it is. Aldon Smith is currently in the middle of serving his nine-game suspension, while Navorro Bowman and Glenn Dorsey are both out with injuries. Losing Willis would only have added more pressure on a 49ers defense that is tasked on Sunday with stopping the multifaceted attack of the 3-0 Philadelphia Eagles.
As it stands now, the 49ers won't have to worry about Willis' status. But, stay tuned in case that changes over the weekend.
