In 49ers news tonight, a new twist to what has been a really strange story surrounding San Francisco 49ers starting Colin Kaepernick has emerged.
Per Matt Barrows, 49ers reporter for the Sacramento Bee, the alleged victim of purported "sexual assault" in TMZ.com's words was not the one who called the cops in an incident which occurred in a downtown Miami hotel last month --
Multiple sources re: Kaepernick investigation: The calls from the Viceroy hotel to the police were made by the players.

TMZ.com originally reported the story of Colin Kaepernick's alleged involvement in a potential sexual crime against the woman in question, with several law enforcement sources around the situation coming out and stating that the information released by TMZ was "taken out of context."
If Colin Kaepernick, along with teammate Quentin Patton and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, were the ones to call the Miami authorities on the night in question, the three players could be being treated as witnesses instead of potential suspects in any sort of sexual assault case.
